The WordFish Group retains world rights to the titles on its list. Subsidiary rights are available for inquiry and licence, by territory and language.

Rights Handled

Rights inquiries are handled directly by the imprint. The categories below are open for submission for any title in the catalogue.

Translation Rights

Language-by-language translation rights, exclusive by territory. Particular interest in German, French, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, Dutch, Polish, Czech, Hungarian, Greek, Turkish, Japanese, and Simplified/Traditional Chinese markets, though all territories are open for discussion.

Audio Rights

Unabridged audiobook rights, by territory and language.

Serial & Excerpt

First serial, second serial, and excerpt rights for print and online publications.

Film, Television & Dramatic

Options and outright sales for film, streaming series, limited series, and stage adaptation.

Permissions

Quotation, anthology inclusion, academic use, and excerpt-for-review permissions. Short-form review quotation within fair dealing / fair use does not require permission.

Making an Inquiry

To inquire about any of the above, please write directly to the imprint. For the inquiry to move quickly, please include:

Title
The book or books you are inquiring about.
Rights
Which right or rights you are seeking (translation, audio, serial, film/TV, etc.).
Territory
Language and/or geographic market.
Publisher
Your house, imprint, or production company and its principals.
Timeline
Intended publication or production window.
Offer
Advance, royalty, term, and any distribution or format specifics.

Inquiries are read personally and answered in order of receipt. Decisions on international rights typically take two to four weeks; film and television options may take longer where legal review is involved.
